I know this couple and we decided to create some portraits for them (and some family members that I also know). They’re from southern New England so we set up the shoot at a shoreline park. The day was perfect and we found a few spots at the park without any others around to interrupt us. I don’t have a lot in the portfolio but I like creating shots like this. I think to do it successfully you have to get to know the people a little first; not really a character study, but if they feel really out of their element they won’t love it as much later.
