Hey NFL Executives and Team GMs – so you want to blackball Colin Kaepernick for peaceful protest, for exercising his 1st Amendment rights, for true patriotism by saying there are problems that need to be fixed, but you have no problems with guys who breed and fight dogs, guys who beat their wives and girlfriends, guys who rape, guys who are drug and alcohol abusers? I am not a veteran but I learned from the words of my father who fought in a war that directly affected OUR freedom, WWII. Do yourselves a favor. Before you call anyone a traitor, why don’t you see what the people who have actually put their lives on the line for you to publicly denounce someone as traitorous, for someone to sit during a song (that was written when slave ownership in the US was still commonplace), and for me to write this message to you actually believe. The last one says it best: “I don’t agree with all of his points, but I’ll fight to the death for his right to say it. #VeteransForKaepernick ” http://ift.tt/2bT5MkE You might also learn what “wag the dog” means. Kaepernick bringing attention to important issues is one thing. The way he did it is nothing and that part of the story becoming the headline is only to obfuscate the real issues this country is (not) dealing with.
